Akron native and IMG Academy's Jessie Stephens ran away with the Boys title and Nicki Henry won the girls' side by three strokes at the NOPGA Jr. Sectional Championship.

 Stephens fired an opening round, even-par 72 and followed up with a four-under 68 to win the crown by four strokes. The senior-to-be earned a spot in the National Championship, to be held August 2-5 in Fort Wayne, Ind. Will Reitan (Chagrin Falls) finished second at an even par 144 and was trailed by Brendan Aussem (Avon Lake), Sean Sherman (Medina), Patrick Luth (Medina) and Brandon Pluchinsky (North Lima) and Ryan Troyer (Sugarcreek). 

Ashland's Josh Brooks won the 13-15 year old group with a two-over 146. 

Nicki Henry (Chagrin Falls) shot rounds of 73 and 76 to earn her bid in the National Championship. The recent grad has signed to play next fall at Eastern Kentucky. Maggie Reiman (Louisville), Theresa-Ann Jedra (Lexington), Jenny Tsangeos (Canton) and Katy Ho (Wadsworth) rounded out the top five. 

Danielle Nicholson (Geneva) shot an even-par 144 to win the Girls 13-15 category, followed by Haylee Hartford (Leavittsburg) and Nikolette Schroeder (Avon Lake).
